Sydney Neuman is a PhD Candidate in Gender, Feminist, and Women’s Studies at York University in Toronto, Canada. She has also studied at the Simone de Beauvoir Institute at Concordia University, Montreal and the department of Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies at Simon Fraser University, Vancouver. Neuman’s dissertation project, “The Neuroqueer Health Collective: A speculative archive,” collects knowledge and strategies from specific moments in grassroots health activism in the US and Canada (1969-present) to imagine an intersectional grassroots neurology.
